Testimonials

I’m 97 years old and had ‘shrunk’ 3 inches in height over the years. I’ve now regained 3/4 of an inch. I’m standing up straighter and feel that I look better in my clothes. I feel better after every session with Laura—even though I may walk in feeling ‘off’. If a knee or hip hurts, she’s great at exercising my body in a way that relieves the pain and strengthens the problem area.

I just happened on Core Fluency’s website in my search for help for my increasing back pain over three years ago and I haven’t looked back. Thank you so much Laura (and Ashley) for being such excellent instructors. It’s not just a job, it’s something you are passionate about and that shines through in every session. Pilates has done wonders for my pain, but you have made me love Pilates!

I was pleased to finally return to the studio today. I fractured my ankle about 6 months ago. Before starting PT I thought about just coming back to Pilates but decided maybe I should go with the average flow on healing therapies. PT definitely concentrated on building up flexibility in my healing ankle and by extension, the leg. However, I thought about how much more directed the pilates movements are. In PT there wasn’t the same exact placement of the feet or the body to do a given exercise or the expectation of coordinated breathing. Something was missing for me. But, today, working with Kim, I felt I was back home. It felt right to be focusing on the body as a whole and coordinate breathing to get the safest and best hoped for results. It was also wonderful to speak to a 96 year old client and hear how pumped she was about Pilates and how it helped heal her broken hip!

Ashley has a keen awareness of the individual needs of her students. She creates a safe, motivating environment. As students, we aim to build on what we know to take on new Pilates challenges. I always leave a class or private session with Ashley feeling like I’ve done something good for my mind and body.
